Moving is an exciting time, but don’t forget about an important member of your family! Follow these tips to make the moving process as smooth as possible for you and your furry friend.

Prepare a Kit
Pack an easily accessible kit with enough food, cat litter, toys, grooming tools, and anything else to keep your pet happy and comfortable. You’ll want to have enough supplies to last the first few days of unpacking.

Keep Your Pet Secluded and Away from the Action
Avoid stressing your pet out during the chaotic moving process. It is best to keep them in a quiet area. If possible, leave them with a family member or friend. Confine your pet to a section of the new home while they adjust to their new surroundings. Remember to give them lots of love and surround them with familiar toys and blankets.

Contact your Vet
If you’re moving out of the area, inform your vet. You’ll want to take records and any prescription medication your pet might have. Update their s info as well! Update their microchip info or tags with your new address or phone number.

Remember to stay patient with your animal. With time, they’ll love their new home as much as you do!
